Five Star is a long established taxi and private hire company based in the historic town of Saffron Walden, Cambridgeshire. The taxi service first started in 1990 to serve the people of Saffron Walden and surrounding areas. Now we have a fleet of cars available 24 hours a day seven days a week and still continue to give a reliable personal service to all our clients.

Although we continue to provide a local service for people we specialise in airport trips and journeys to and in London. We pride ourselves on being able to take you anywhere in London as good as any London cabby without having to take the train there. Since 1990

We have a fleet of five cars that are manned by eight very experienced drivers. All of our drivers have at least 15 years’ experience of working as drivers with Five Star with some of us having over 40 years’ service as taxi drivers. So our regular clients know us all well and we know them – Five Star really does offer that personal service.

As for the legal bits – all of our drivers have enhanced DBS checks and Five Star taxi and private hire services are fully licenced by Uttlesford District Council.
